October Is National Dental Hygiene Month
Every October at iGrin Pediatric Dentistry, we celebrate National Dental Hygiene Month! This month is set aside to help us not only recognize our team members in the hygiene community but to share the importance of good dental hygiene.
Healthy Dental Habits
We always like to encourage our pediatric patients to create good dental hygiene from an early age. We strive to help our patients understand how and why they need good dental habits. We start with the basic dental habits that everyone should learn:
- Brush your teeth twice a day
- Floss daily
- Rinse with mouthwash
- Chew sugar-free gum
These simple habits will lead to good oral health as well as create a gateway for other healthy habits.
Why is National Dental Hygiene Month important?
When our patients don’t follow these habits, it can lead to serious dental issues. We’ve seen many patients come into our doors with the following issues that are a direct result of poor dental hygiene.
- Periodontal Disease
- Cavities
- Inflammation
- Dental Decay
Our Solution
The iGrin team has an extreme focus on preventative dentistry. We can solve a lot of dental issues before they pose bigger problems. We understand that life is unpredictable, and we make sure that we are there for you and your child when you need us. That is why we offer so many pediatric dental services in our offices.
