New Smiles, Welcome

Our goal is to ALWAYS provide a positive and fun experience for your child.

Hello, new patients! Every appointment is tailored to your child’s needs and interests, and we’re confident they’ll LOVE the iGrin office.

Children love coming here to play video games or watch movies while getting their teeth cleaned, and it doesn’t feel like a dental visit to them. (And that’s the way it should be.)

But there’s more – in addition to preventative care for kids, we offer emergency dentistry. Our office accepts multiple insurances and Medicaid, plus has an in-house insurance planin-house insurance plan website(open in new window).

During your child’s visit to our Boiling Springs dental office, we discuss habits, diet, dental health, and what to anticipate during your child’s dental development.

If you have an older child coming in for a first visit, we also review the medical and dental history, perform a comprehensive exam and cleaning, and discuss our findings.

Pediatric Dentistry FAQs

  • When should my child see a dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric DentistryAmerican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry website(open in new window) recommends your child see a dentist when his or her first tooth arrives or no later than the first birthday.

  • Should I worry about my child’s baby teeth?

Yes! It’s crucial to care for your children’s baby teeth. They help children speak clearly and chew comfortably. Plus, they act as a path for permanent teeth when they erupt so that they’re correctly aligned.

  • How often should my child see the dentist?

The same recommendation for adults applies to children – every six months.

Biyearly visits to the dentist allow us to help prevent cavities and other dental diseases. We believe in the prevention, not just treatment, of dental disease in children.

Children with great smiles under our care are not only healthier but have higher self-esteem. The greater the focus on preventative care, the better opportunity for kids to live a happy, healthy life.

  • How can my child prevent cavities?

During your child’s consultation, we discuss cavity prevention strategies with you to ensure optimal care for your child.

Something you can do right away – get your child into the habit of brushing and flossing every day. Another step includes limiting your child’s exposure to sugar, which can wear away tooth enamel and create decay.

  • Should I worry about thumb sucking?

Pacifiers and thumb sucking are perfectly normal for infants. Most children are ready to stop these habits around the age of three. However, if it continues past this point, it may alter your child’s bite, jaw form, and teeth.

Don’t worry, though. We can go over your concerns during the pediatric dental consultation and figure out a strategy to limit these habits.

  • What can I expect?

At iGrin Pediatric Dentistry, you can expect an experience completely tailored to the needs and interests of your child. We’ve created a hip, cool environment filled with movies, games, and tons of smiles your child will love.

Your kiddo may not want to leave! (You’ve been warned.)

Our first visits are also designed to educate you – the parent – on proper oral hygiene care for your child. In addition, we discuss habits, diet, dental health, and what to anticipate with your child’s dental development.

If you have an older child coming in for his or her first visit, we review medical and dental history, plus perform an exam and cleaning. Lastly, our team discusses all of our findings and the recommended next steps.
